Tesla Motors Would Offer Its Stock to the Public
With this, Tesla would perhaps become the first car maker of America to offer its stocks to the public after Ford. As a selling point, Tesla is concentrating on the clean energy technology that it uses. With this the company hopes that it would be able to create an interest among the consumers when the prices of oil are growing at a rapid rate.
The senior managing partner also claimed that the shares of Tesla are in huge demand. The dealings could probably price at a high end in the planned range of $14-to-$16- per share. As per the reports released on Monday, the numbers of shares of the company as per the plans were boosted up to a rate of 20%. This fairly amounts to 13.3 million shares among which the holdings of the insider would constitute a total of 1.4 million shares.
In the first day trading, it is expected that the stock can rise up by around 10% to 15%. Under the symbol TSLA, Tesla would probably trade on the Nasdaq.
